I am using a pop cooler for a battery box,in side of the car, using a sealed battey but not an optima, just a regular 12v wet battery. Do I need to vent the battery box? There are 2 holes in the bottom with gromments for the cables to p*** thru, but are fairly tight. The lid clamps down with a rubber seal. Will I have a proble or should I drill some vent holes? Thanks, Dale

I would port it, on mine I used the Optima battery and didn't worry about the vent. With a traditional battery you'll definetly need the airflow.

I would vent it to the outside of the car. Do the cables run out the bottom and directly through the floor?

I would add the vent tube in the floor, then it acts like an old fashioned road draft tube. ****s out all of the fumes at speed (Which is when most fumes will be created)
