Recently I have read a couple of articles about a new battery tender that is made in Europe. All the magazines are saying good things about it. I have my 39 Chevy almost complete but my battery is now completely dead. I wouls like to wire it for a charger so that during the bad weather it will stay charged and ready to go. I have not had any experience with these, just the old style chargers. Anyone have any words of wisdom on this? Also, does anyone know the name of this new tender cause I can't find the magazine with the article? Thanks Mike
I have used a battery tender for years to keep my Harley's battery charged during the off season. It not only kept my bike ready for a ride any day I wanted, it also extended the life of the battery. In my opinion they are very much worth the money.
Agreed. I use on for my bike ,and all "my" generators at work have them. You can get them through Interstate batterries I believe
Battery tenders work well. Be aware though that they will "maintain" a battery, they will not "charge" a battery. If your battery is low, charge it on a standard charget before storage.
Bought a couple of $39 battery tenders at Wall-mart over 5 years ago. They have worked well and flawlessly.
I have a Sears automatic charger-maintainer. Works great and will still work as a regular battery charger- booster.
