Uh oh, Looks like someone is gunning for my new ride.... Man, I haven't even gotten that thing home yet. I tell you what tough guy... You might have a race if I find my truck actually runs worth a ****. I'm thinking you must have something planned for that 2.8 if you are making a post like this.... Must be some sort of super power hot rod secrets going into that thing. Then again with a top speed of 55 mph, my new ride couldn't pose much of a threat.... ha ha. if i can afford the oil to get there, maybe i will have a shot at it. my 223 burns more oil than a 2 stroke.

Tell you what...I'll donate you parts for the 2.8....and run your *** too! Should be an even match...nearly identical cars...one with the 2.8 and the other with a slighty tweaked 235...and my money is on the 2.8! Maybe I'd better get busy building my 261...and disguise it as a stock 216....all jokes aside, even though I'd never do it, the 2.8 should move the car as well as a stock 216 ever did...I do think I'd go 5-spd with the 2.8 though...hell, it'll bolt right up, and use S-10 pedal ***embly with the hydraulic clutch...I'll donate a 2.8 bellhousing and flywheel.... My Pop runs a 270 GMC that's bored .030 over, balanced, with a nasty cam, a port job, headers, mallory ignition and a four barrel, but soon it will have 3x1. I doubt he'll come out to the hamb drags though
Are we talkin naturaly aspirated only or are turbos and blowers welcome? I might have my turboed 225 slant running then, oops I mean my stock 170 that runs on 4 cylinders, yes thats it. -Jesse
Are we gonna run them as a different cl*** or with the other cars(V8's). Sixes only, maybe like autos versus manuals, HP divided by wieght and have cl***es based from that? I definatly want to run against some other six bangers. -Jesse
