I have 2 BB chev motors that I am trying to ID. The frist one has COF331056 stamped on the pad in front,at the left rear of the block the casting # is 361959,and on the right side is 12875.

The second one is so rusty on the pad that I cant red anything, but at the left rear the casting # is 3989289 and on the right side M10T. The second one has a Q-jet intake, the first has no intake and oval port heads. Both have flex plates.

I looked in my rather genaric HP book and found none of these numbers. I'm sure some one on here has a real book!

Thank you! basically if they are 72-up then they will have iron cranks and 2 bolts.Makes them not good for much! I was going to break them into components and hopefully get some pieces I could use,but it looks like I should just get off them. Theyve been sitting in the back of my shop for about 20 yrs now!.
