$500 at $1.00 per hour is the same as $2500 at $5.00 per hour. I believe '32 shells, no drivetrain are going for $25,000. So the average joe needs to make $50 an hour just to get a shell, plus ten grand to build a nice flathead, etc. etc. I realize I'm exaggerating a bit, but still.
I remodeled my old house and found newspapers stuffed in the walls. Some of the businesses were still in business today. The liked the ad but would not honor the sale for a 2 car garage kit for $280
