I'm new to the forum and to the world of old cars (Pre '70 something). Having searched for a few years I have just bought a '49 Wayfarer a d to its previous owners credit it seems to be in good condition.

I'm originally from the UK, been living here in Chicago for 7 years so not overly familiar still with the cars from this era, but learning fast.

Looking forward to being part of this community.

Sorry I've been off for a while (not long after I got the car, we also got a little boy), hoping to get the little things fixed on the old Dodge this summer. Does anybody have a garage (in Chicago), they recommend for basic work and also can anyone recommend where (and how much I should expect to pay), I can goes my seats re covered.
