September issue of Hot Rod Deluxe. Lower left corner, page 60. Looks like the same car. Probably not but this one could be built the same way. Way ahead of my pocketbook.

$4250 is still a steal!!! This package is worth so much more. I think the bidding should just be getting started.

Come on boys keep em coming!

    Once in a life time!

    ViVA La HamB!

  24. I am contributing free transport of the body and any ***ociated parts
to the high bidder to anywhere in the lower 48 states free of charge.

This offer is subject to my scheduling & availability, so the high bidder
might have to wait a bit for me to build connecting loads to get to the
pick up point(s) and from the drop off point(s).

The HAMB has been good to me - my chance to give back

Can this get any better ? damn this is the best auction ever..

  26. i agree with ya on the value, Bob...if i didn't have Lil Beast, these guys would not be even close to what i would be willing to bid...but then, some folks just don;t realise how rare this car is,,,and then all that goes with it.....free paint???****, that could go 2 g'ss all day long...

    my costs to date....

    front axel, superbell setup,,,,,$1750

    custom frame....$1500

    there's $3250 right there...

    steering system....$500

    pedals....another couple hundred...

big narrowed olds rear housing, with cut and trueing....$600...and i got the housing cheap too:eek:

i had to fetch my body home myself, cost about $200, gas and trailer rental...and i only had to go less then 200 miles...

my body....don't ya wish ya knew what it cost ..;)......

and i had to find a roof to put back into it...yes it was a factory hardtop, but was hacked out for racing....another $200

so what don't i have ?? a nice paint job by Earl, seen his work, damn fine painter...

    no Lil Beast banner...

    no Lil Beast coveralls...

    no free transportation...

    no cool throtle pedal...

no $100 worth of cleaning materials...

    free signage,,

    new nos shifter

free Hamb drag p***..for life???what the **** is that worth??? hundreds????

    rebuilder nailhead???couldn't guess $$$$$$$

a set of custom headers from Doug????figure at least $500-$1000 for what i want for my topo...

this is an unbeleiveable auction....the donations are even crazier...the car has history....the car is a hardtop...beleive you me that this is very very very rare for a topolino.....

i know times are tough, but i also seen that there's some really deep pockets here too....waiting to see where it ends at.......

    You guys are amazing!!!!!

  29. Certainly...I could have enough cash to be the high bidder.;)
That would make it most excellent.
I get my first official paycheck on 09/01/2010, a little late for the auction.:(
Paychecks are essentially expendable income at this point, so projects are going to fall in line pretty quickly from now on.

    Best wishes to whomever wins.
I challenge you to a match race at the Hamb Drags next year.
