Cool home movies of the newly opened Beany's hamburgers in Long Beach California. Dig the cool cars and people. Notice the Clock drive in restaurant, Circle drive in theater and Golden Drumstick fried chicken on the other corners.

Cool! Love these old home style movies.
Whoa, did the car hit the camera car?
    Lots of cool cars..........
Notice the water fountain out front.....the employees eating the food.......gloveless employees handling the food.......didn't everyone eating there get sick? :)
And last but not least.......is that smog?
    Thanks for sharing. Great stuff.

  4. $ 0.20 burgers and milkshakes.
You could get yourself one hell of a bellyache for a buck :)

Nice step back in time, thanks. Not many pre-war cars.

  6. What an incredibly well preserved bit of home movie film! I never knew their was a Beany's drive-in based on the cartoon character. And they were even so committed to their 20 cent burgers and shakes that they posted the price in neon!

Kaisers and Frazers and Nashes, oh my! But no hot rods or any of that riff-raff. This was a place where you could safely bring the kids. But now I want one of those "Beany's #2" shirts. And a couple Beany Burgers, to go... ;)
