Is there anyone can help me out with what I have in these boxes? I’ve tried to unsuccessfully look up part numbers. It was things my grandpa had, but I don’t know if they are all y block parts or not? Plus his thunderbird I know was not a 56. I am in Salisbury NC and if someone can use them we could work something out. I don’t want to just toss good parts. Thank you Brian
Note the main bearings have a few interchange numbers along the bottom, one of them is S/P, which matches the listing on rock auto. Rings and pistons...is there a number cast inside the piston? Did you measure the skirt diameter and pin diameter? can you take a few more pictures of it from different angles?
I have an old TRW cat. and the part numbers are listed for a 312. The piston marked std. is a mystery.
This came from my poor memory from the 1960's. I don't remember any valve reliefs in any of the y blocks I worked on. I had 272, 292 and 312's apart. But that was a lonnngg time ago.
