I think there's a ton of Hambers out there. If everyone gave a buck a month, will that cover a way for us idiots to post pics easy? I know i'm not alone. I see lots of people having the same problems. Plus, i see tons of "show and tell" type posts with no pics. I can simply get from my camera direct to ebay or email EASY. Can it be a reality for the HAMB? Remember, a picture's worth a THOUSAND words. So, if someone had a REAL problem, think how easy a fix it would be with pics...........
dude, this is a great idea man. It's not that posting pictures is so hard, well i guess it's hard because of the very little bandwidth we're allowed. It's almost stupid that we have to post a picture of ourselves in our profile that is only 100 pixels... what's the point? This is free so we're not complaining, just suggesting as i'd be willing to donate 3 dollars a month... if we all do it we could get double the bandwidth i bet.
Not to mention, i have NO CLUE what a bandwith or pixel is. I'm a*****ing car guy for god sakes. If ebay AND email can accomodate me for free, a buck from each of us should work miracles. I'd even pay my wopping $12 (1 year) in advance! From what i see, some don't know how to post, and the rest i think are jumping through electronic hoops to post pics.
yeah, i see your point. computer stuff can be confusing. too bad we can trade knowledge as i'm still a beginner about hot rod stuff.!!! basicly. Bandwidth is the limit of space that the server or host our this website will allow. Bandwidth costs money and usually it's paid for by advertising in someway. So what's cool about the HAMB is that we don't have to see any banners or any kind of advertising but this is why we have a limit on bandwidth. the limit on bandwidth is seen by the fact that we are only allowed 100 pixel profile pictures and 80 pixel avatars. BUT, I'm very grateful for the Hamb because it's far better than any other forum. It's made up of real hot rod enthusiasts and not people that just talk smack....... For example, if you got to another forum like Club Chopper, it's paid for in some way by advertising and is linked with other companies.. BUT it's kind of a gay forum because it's made up of people that don't even own a chopper, or want one.. . I love the Hamb so i'm thankful for what we got... Just real hot rodder enthusiasts with no drama.
