Hey all I have searched the forum with out any success. The material or screen that Ed Roth used on the Beatnik bandit what is it off or is it available in sheet form? I am making my own front radiator cowl and was interested in using some thing like it. Thanks for any help on advance. Cheers Luke

Pretty sure it was the mesh from a '59 Ford passenger car grille.

    I do know what I'm talking about. It's from a '59 Ford.

I can appreciate that Carl La Fong but I live Australia and was hoping to narrow down to someone who knows supplies. I can do a google search to thought someone might know who sells it.

    Cheers Luke

  11. Yeah, I know it was a smart ass answer, but you're going to have to scrounge one from eBay or some vendor that deals in old parts. I don't think anyone reproduces them

  12. You won't get repro in Australia easily.
Ask HAMBer "rusty bones"...he used to have a heap of tank Fairlane/Ranchero grilles.........

An art teacher told me that he thought of Roth as an artist who happened to be into cars. Just imagine if he had been into airplanes or boats.

  15. I was just looking for some late '50s auto trans parts on the 'net and ran into a guy parting out a '59 ford, so try that. I was searching for ford-o-matic parts.

Roth had an eye for things to add glitz and a futuramic look, to his cars . Hardware stores were favorites ,cabinet knobs , drawer pulls . Electrical stuff , lamps and bases ,nothing escaped his eye !
