Today I was reminded how much better cruising is with good tunage. Thanks Dr. Dre. My wife brought home this Bluetooth speaker system that sounds great, is portable, and has plenty of battery for long road trips. I have been wanting to add a amp/speaker system that was incon****uous but will probably use this instead. It's great when technology improves your enjoyment of old things.
I enjoy a radio in my later model truck but I don't have a radio in ether one of my Deuces. I thoroughly enjoy driving my hot rods listening to the sound of the engine and of course the rattles,,a radio would mask the sounds of a hot rod. HRP
I must be following you like a puppy dog tonight Danny. I to prefer the sounds of the engine, drivetrain and the road when I'm driving a hot rod. When i first finished my '32 2dr. I took one of my buddies for a ride. It was summer and we had the windows down. At the top of second gear he leaned over and said, "why would anyone need a radio in a hot rod?" CASE CLOSED!!!! BTW, he had never had an old car in his life but decided after that ride he needed one. We built him a '32 fibergl*** roadster and I swear if it had a snow plow on it he'd drive it year around. Frank
I prefer to hear my music too. If it were just the engine I wouldn't mind so much but a few hours of interstate wind noise ****s. Even in my 40 coupe at 70 mph the wind noise is louder than the engine. You guys with the Model A's and 32's dont have a problem with wind noise?
I've got a little blue tooth speaker that I can hear 60 feet away from the garage that I plan on trying out in the ford. I highly doubt I'll be able to hear it though. Not because that small block is such a beast but all the wind and road noise. I suppose some better weather stripping and some insulation may be in order Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
DrDre Beats is the manufacturer of high quality headphones and portable speaker units. My kid has some that sound amazingly good. You can play good music thru them too ; )
Though audiophiles will be quick to point out that they are very b*** heavy units and for the money a much nicer set of head phones could be had. - really excited that this sort of stuff exists now though. Gone are days if ****ing around with hidden stereos Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
