Here's where the real value of this thing lies.

  2. Late 70's to 80's Cadillac steering wheel and probably same vintage brake pedal/support. Could have been stored for 25 years, wonder what year they stated that construction started?

  3. Looks like a Cadillac Seville steering wheel/column. I wonder if they grafted a clip with the front wheel drive onto the chassis somehow to do away with the driveshaft or rear end to make more, ahem, body mods. If the chassis is jacked, there's no worth there at all.

  4. I see shovel beat me to the steering wheel post while I was typing.

Am I the only one that sees 84/up Corvette body lines (kinda/sorta).
I can't believe I keep contributing to the longevity of this thread.

I have thousands of old car mags, every time I look at them I wonder where all the cars/trucks ended up. How unfortunate this one had to survive this long. The only good thing is it can't reproduce....................

As to my statement on the value of Corvette titles (and I would not be really surprised if Tubman is correct), I occasionally surf eBay and I have run across 1961/1962 Corvettes titles for sale. In the three times, the steering column with the VIN plate still in the factory location was included with the title-nothing more in the $5000 range. Not sure on this 64 but a skeptic may raise an eyebrow IMO.

  9. Never saw one. I'll take your word for it!

    A "shit sandwich" that is.

Small difference but the hammer price was $3250, the buyer pays a 10% premium getting it to the $3575 figure and the seller pays a 5% fee for the No Reserve Sale plus an initial listing fee of at least $500 if I remember correctly, netting him $2588 unless there were concessions made as part of a multiple consignment.

  11. It reminds me of the South end of a north bound mule.

That's the first thing I thought too. Maybe they confused '84 & '64...

  16. For some reason I figured that at 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea the propellers might be more functional than a set of Goodyear bias ply's.:D
