Actually, that spot is usually dirt. They must have just put down new sod.

  4. I hate you!

Those are beautiful shots of May Cause Dangerous, I think your car should never be inside on a sunny day because it looks amazing in those photos.

Wow! I never had a car that looked that good in the sun. Sure looks like a lot of hard work that was put to good use!

  10. Ya know, one of the most difficult things in the hot rod game is getting the design lines to flow properly and the most difficult for some is the ever elusive 'perfect' stance.

That said, its always struck me that it's difficult to get the lines to flow well on a custom.
Harder than on a coupe or roadster imo.

The Starliner comes together quite well and the paint harkens back to an earlier day design-wise and the color choices are great.

    Not too low either.
The car looks like you could drive it if you want to.
Not just move it around, but go long distances with no probs.

Granted, hot rods are all about HP and most do ok in that vein.

And back in the day, more than a few customs ran some fairly serious engines.
Which, at times totally surprised more than a few coupe runners.

Does the prime mover equal the good looks of the Starliner?

I hope so, but if not, the car looks good as is and somewhere, some day, someone's gonna toss a strong runner with a few cubes under the hood of a full-on custom and leave some of the hot rod gang in tears....

    Did I mention, "Well done?"

That was my plan, but we have a crazy deadline I have to meet. I'm planning on Puyallup and Scottsdale.

Kirk, amazing pix, your instant classic is one of my faves ever. I remember all those long hours of the build spent by yourself and "The Great Gambino". The snap in front of the wheathered barn is ultra fab!! No knit picking here!! Rock On!!--Sololobo/Roadburners

  22. KIRK! ... What the hell is a Canon D90? ... I think you meant to say Nikon D90 ... nonetheless, some really great shots of MCD ... these photos almost do justice to its awesome Gambino paint job (though it really needs to be seen in person to fully appreciate) ... I've said it many times before ... but I'll say it again ... MCD has got to be my favorite '60 Chevy (er Ford :)) Starliner Custom of all time!
