My girlfriend Joyce needs a "bee hive" oil filter element quick, before she lives for Paso, for her RPU flathead. I'm not firmilar with them at all and she hasn't a clue who to call. She said "it's a old one from way back but no brand name to be had" You guys have any sources that I can pass along to her?
She actually need the element that goes inside. She has been to a few auto parts stores with no luck. Anyone have a part no. maybe. She lives in Portland and is worried making the 2000 Mi round trip without a oil filter on the Flatmotor in her RPU.
The Fram # is C3P. Any auto parts store can cross reference it to whatever brand she prefers. Well any auto parts store that is'nt a chain. Billy
[ QUOTE ] roll of toilet paper? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah I actually suggested that too. I know I heard of that in the past. Joyce said her late husband actually used to use a roll in one. This woman is too cool for words. maybe some day she will introduce herself here. But if you see a 60y/0 woman driving a Red 29 Roadster Pickup with some well earned roadrash from many miles of hotrodding make sure you say hi.
Thanks Billy, you a sweetheart. I just got off the phone with her and she's a happy camper now. She shouldn't have any trouble finding one in the morning. She leaving Wed AM for Paso and I'm trying to convince her to drive her RPU from Paso to Detroit for BilletProof. Killer, thanks for your tip as well, she said if all else fails she'll give that a shot. She remembers her late husband using toilet paper.

[ QUOTE ] Rudy, she is going to KILL you for posting her age! [/ QUOTE ] Denise, Believe me there is nothing to be ashamed of to be 60 and still like drivin hot rods. She should be proud of it. Some (hell most) of my cruisin buddies are 60+. Of course I'm much younger but only in my dreams.
