I have been working on the fordor for some time now...but starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. This summer I unplugged from the world( no internet) and was refreshing to not have so many distractions and got to work on the 32. It also helped that my wife and I got a new place that actually had a garage! Anyways, here are a few pics of what I have done so far. Enjoy.

Looks like you are heading in the correct direction for a good looking 4 door. I love the chop and the back window. Keep up the good work.

Nice job,one question, why not just use an old chevy bellhousing?

  8. Very nice! I was also wondering about the adapter? Looks like a spacial issue maybe?

I like the simplicity of an old ford clutch linkage. There isn't much that can fail on the highway. So I found an old cragar? adapter to go from Chevy to old ford, then got a speedway adapter with the old ford style cross shaft so that I could use ford clutch parts. Its probably more work than what its worth but I like the fact that there are a few more old ford parts used in the mix.

    Takes a BRAVE man to chop a 4 door :) :)

Looking good. I have never had a 32 4 door on the road ... but I do admire them ...

Yours looks it is going to be a good one :D

  22. Brave is right! I was just thinking that as I scrolled down the thread. I bet your gonna start a little trend up.....you're already making some guys think about doing something similar.

You get alot of hard and fast guys that are against anything with more than two doors, or guys that only like coupes, or only like roadsters. But I've always thought that a 32 fordor could be super bad***...if done right. Now you're doing it right and I'm super excited to see the outcome.

    Stay on it!

Got a little side tracked these last few weeks. My wife and I got a new shop dog and he is a demanding little guy! Anyways, I digging through some old pics and found a few pics of my old highschool ride. There were a few pieces I managed to hold onto all these years which was the basis of this project. More pics to follow soon.[IMG]
