So I have been plugging away on the ol fordor what seems like a snails pace... Its really coming together...just not fast enough. Its looking like a no go to the Salt Flats :( Always next year right...
Will post some pics of the progress in the next few days.

So had a productive weekend. The fordor has brakes! They need to be bleed again.

I have about 2/3 of the wiring done. Engine turns over via an ignition switch! Just need to wire in the mag and hook up the fuel block an it should fire up.

I did splurge on 2 new carbs because the plan was to drive all the way to B-ville...and I flat out ran outta time to rebuild my old ones...

    Engine is pretty much plumbed.[IMG][/IMG]
I'm hopping it will move under its own power in the next few days :)

Sorry if I am asking a dumb question, but is that the permanant place for the gas tank? Hanging out the back like that? What happens if you get rear ended? God forbid I mean.
I'm not very familiar with these.

    Looks great though!!

How is that roadster of yours coming? You should swing by and check out the completed clutch linkage. I'm 99.9% positive that it is going to work great.

    Here are your pics 3wLarry.
I took the ol fordor for its maiden voyage this weekend and was pleasantly surprised that everything worked as it should. The only thing I was nervous about was the clutch...and it worked great. I have a few bugs that I still need to work out with my rear brake drums, and a few return springs need to be installed on the carbs and clutch pedal, over all very pleased.

I'm thinking I'm going to make a steel insert that will be upholstered. Right now there is an old roadster top that was flattened out and stapled down to keep the sun and rain off the front seat area. It will work for now.
