So this pick up was owned by an elderly fella who for whatever reason decided to remove the roof which he disposed of years ago. At 89 years young he gave up on it and my buddy bought it. Kicked around many ideas what to do with this and finally found a window section for it so he made the rest off the roof pieces and low and behold I go up to the shop and this is where he is with it He is not telling me what his further plan is but I sense a wheel change and a lowering job coming in the near future. The motor runs very well so I suspect that he will leave the drive train stock for now. He is always full of surprises and at 75 is hard to out guess at times!
It looks like a great truck for a circus midget! I'd never fit into it! [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Now he is looking for a 2x2 early intake. I see Snyder's has one in there catalog. Anyone seen this item up close? Think it was listed for 200.
Same green with lots of flattening agent and leave the wheels. The stance with the chop is perfect. Warren
Respectfully disagree with the stance. IMHO, now that it's been chopped considerably, other things have to follow suit to make the rest of the vehicle not look so very out of place, like a good chassis lowering and dropping the headlight bar (maybe the headlights). Once the windshield frame and door frames are in place, the chop will look even more severe. You can do a lot of mods to a car (engine, chassis, wheels, interior) with a stock roof line, but once you take the chopped top plunge, it's a Rod and no longer a stocker. At least it's not a passenger Model A where he has to deal with side mounts, cowl lights, luggage rack, etc. that get the deep 6 with a chop. Once that mini skirt goes on, the sandals get tossed for high heels. Just my 2 cents.
