Hot Rods Before and After Thread

    We took this 54 olds 4drsdn and used parts of a 56 buick special 2drhdtp and a set of 66 pont conv top bows and did this.

    '41 Buick Super convertible (factory compound carburetors)
    Took Pops (rip) less than a year start to finish. Drives like a dream- or, drives exactly like a Buick should. Power top is like a Venus Flytrap- whirrr...wham!

    I could say it was the 2nd photo but it was really the 1st photo. 5yrs I think to build on an off. Been on the road 15yrs now.

    This is a cast away project when I bought it had been p***ed around to several guys. I think each one kept some parts in a box that I dident get with the car.
    When you buy a basket case there's so many parts in boxes and stacked in the trunk it's hard to tell if it's all there.
    You figure that out when your putting it together. It took around 14 month start to finish.
    Went for a nice long ride yesterday 1-1-15 even tho it's heater delete. Ron

    The top is back in 87' when my dad drove it around thru high school then painted it the pink into red flames and yellow (what was he thinking right?!) in the 90's and put the car away in the garage for a good while.. then i decided to work on it, my plan was to get rid of the hideous paint job with primer, i told my friend to primer it as dark as possible and end up with a flat black.. still a work in progress hope yall enjoy
