Drive the truck in my avatar again after 47 years. Looks like it might finally happen. Mass says they are going to title it!!! I'll believe it when the paper comes in the mail, but I'm working on the truck. It will be powered by a 270 GMC like it was back then.

I'm nearly 62 and can verify this is a worthy aspiration.
    Worked for me so far.

  5. I'd like to Have a shop that builds engines for old stuff only. :D Tractors and heavy equipment pay the bills but I have more fun with Packards, Buicks, Caddys, Y-Blocks and anything Flathead. An ocational "Popin' Jonny" or Cub would be OK too.

Oh, and my Red Hat too!;)

Mine would be to give my wife a huge diamond ring and yes it's car related. I've had over 200 cars since we were married and the diamond ring would be a partial payment for her sticking around all of those years while I had so much fun. The rest would have to be in the form of an IOU because I could never repay her for all she has done.
Oh yea, get the '32 5w I bought in 1973 on the road.

...see the inception of a 28 hour day so I can have 4 hours to work on my own stuff every single mucking day.

...Drive the old 49 Merc p/u At Bonneville just to say I ran with the big dogs (and with a 4:50 ratio rear I will happily claim 72 mph before the desert heat shuts me down)

    1. be able to drive my 53 Cadillac on a regular basis. I should be driving her by the end of the week.

    2. build my 52 Cadillac series 62 to set a record over 200 mph and get a Red hat. I am thinking 540 with twin turbos . Then give all unsuspecting takers a good beating.

    3. build a garage large enough for me to build all the cars I want to and not have to go somewhere else to have things made or done for you.

    4. Build cars for my kids and have them help me. My youngest has already claimed the 53 when Im gone.

    5. Drive a sprint cup car, funny or prostock car at speed.

Master of None, wish you lived by me, I'd take you up on #5 :D.

I would like to have the funds to be able to have a nice home garage w/ a good stable of tools, a couple of projects to work on and a couple finished to drive in the meantime - and room to store them!

I would like to go to Daytona for a race. I need to build each of my kids a bad ass ride. At the moment my seven year old son wants a muscle car like a Plymouth gtx and he wants it to have a blower on it, yeah that sounds affordable. My baby girl at the time wants both the 46 stylemaster and a pink VW. bug I can do that. I would like to drive a 10 second car on the track. My bucket list also includes an Easy Rider cover bike, and I want one of my cars on the cover of a magazine. I have two friends of mine in the hospital right now. One with heart concerns and the other with liver and kidney problems. Both of them are around my age "young" I have been thinking about my own life and I don't want to go for a long long time. I want to see my grand kids in my 56 ford.

Well I guess it is time for me to get in on this...

There are the normal answers that everyone gives:
Bonneville with my boy on a "guy trip"(he went on his first guy trip last year here is the link http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=373325 )
in a hot rod or a cruiser

    el mirage

go to Kiwi Kevs house and see his awesome collection in person

take a month and cruise across the country with my family in a late 40s to mid 60s Caddy or a 49 thru 53 Buick custom nothing too radical but real dependable and comfortable or a wagon or a 50s suburban. Camping anfd fishing and seeing the sights on no particular schedule...

build a awesome garage where i have plenty of room for me and my family to work on all the cool projects we want to. I want our house to be the "cool" house where all my kids friends want to come hang out.

get my 66 vette back on the road

build an autocross car on the cheap maybe a 914 Porsche like my dad had when I was a kid.

take better care of myself so i can maybe make some of this stuff come true

Drive wide open on the Autobahn

Build a straight axle style car henry J of a late 30s Chevy coupe and race it and be a terror.

Also leave the line at full throttle dragging the back bumper sparks flying, butterflies wide open, and when I set it back down bust the oil pan and front axle without flipping or hurting anyone and being the run of the meet that everyone remembers for years to come.
