Before I die,I want to.......

1) Be mortgage free.
2) Go to Bonneville (next year, baby!)
3) Go to Ireland, and drink Guinness until I can't come home for a while.
4) Finish my shop the way I want it.
5) To see my kids settled into happy secure adult lives (this is actually first!)

 

I want to finish my Grandpas 54 F100 and then take my Dad for a small road trip.
Drive my 65 Mustang. Got it when I was 13. Needs everything.
Find a job that I like that I can earn enough money do buy parts for my cars.

 

wish my wife understood my love of old cars.

Bob....my list is creepily similar to yours so I copied yours and edited it to reflect my tastes and progress on the list:
Here's mine
Go to Bonneville: Went 4 times so far...once a week after speedweek to drive my smallblock 50 chevy delivery on the black line with nobody else around.
Go to Indy 500...maybe..not too high on my list but it's on the list.
Daytona Speed week...same
Get a 33 or 34 Ford Coupe..huge deal here...did it and continue to work on it. Mine's a '34,5 window...converting it to a 33.....non fendered, quickchange, 301,smallblock with T-5.
Finish my interior in my Merc...Finish the interior on my 34
Drive my Merc cross country.drove my sedan delivery and my 41 Pontiac coupe cross-country...gotta do it with the 34 too!
Drive a car at Bonneville and El Mirage..bonneville. Once in competition and once alone.
Drive to the Lone Star Round-up...did it...what a blast! Ok, it was an old ratty 80s Porsche but I drove the sumbitch to Austin from Omaha and back
Live long enough to see one of my grandkids take posession of my Merc!
Live long enough to teach my grandson drive my 34.
PLUS!!!! I wanna jump out of a perfectly good airplane some day...hope it's not my last day.
AND.... I want to keep my unblemished string of attendance at the HAMB drags...'till I just can't do it anymore.

I got to do something I always wanted...My dad(who is 80 and a hotrodder himself) and I cruised in our roadster together in my hometown's cruise...It was the coolest thing I have ever done...

 

Go to bonneville....................again!

 

At least see Danyelle thru high school and have enough money to start her in collage .

 

Borrow someone's Superbird....and run it flat out at Talladega. And for you Atlanta HAMBers how about some hot laps on 285....complete laps...in anything fast.

Drive one through every state in the union and some of Canada (I would also say Mexico but I don't speak Spanish and that could get me in trouble)

 

Go to Bonneville
Drive a car at Bonneville and El Mirage
Finish my alpine to TIGER conversion.
Finish my 37 and drive it down the grand.
Race in the Silver state classic.
Race at Willow(check), Monteray, Laguna Seca
Drive up PCH
Drive Mullholland.

 

Build a big shop/barn to get a least my good paint jobs indoors..put a big boy lift in there..fix the dirt road into my place so no one has to worry about scrapin anything precious..build a little patio/BBQ pit down by the creek..build a little dam on the creek so people could splash around and cool off(please keep raining)..Throw a big ass party for all my friends..build and drive something to 200 mph at Bonneville, my 64 Riviera would be cool..have my 34 Pickup finished up looking something like Bobs old white Pickup..own one of the remaining 13 Davis Divans..and on and on and on somebody stop me..one date with Marilyn Monroe..I want you guys to bury me face down so folks will have a place to park their bikes...

 

I wanna make out with Megan Fox.....in a hemi powered 34 coupe. I think just having the hemi coupe is more realistic.

 

I want to set a World Record somewhere, somehow. Don't care if it's at the drags or Bonneville or wherever. Maybe just an engine I build in someone else's car. Doesn't matter. Don't care if someone else breaks it 10 minutes later.

Just want to know that, for a moment or two at least- I contributed heavily to an effort that resulted in being the best ever. That'd be cool.
