I haven't been on HAMB in quite some time. The past (almost) 2 years has been quite the trip. The triplets were born 3 months early, and really tiny. Paul 2lbs 12oz, Elaine 1lb 13oz and Grace 1lb 70z. They were in the hospital for quite a while. Unfortunately Grace never made it out. We were blessed to have her with us for 37 days. Paul and Elaine are doing great (Paul has a bit of trouble with his left eye) and have their first hot rods already. I can't wait to start working on stuff together. I have a C10 in dire need of work.

being a dad is as cool as it gets! my kids help in the garage, 8yo daughter has her own restoration project (1962 bird mini bike), she's learning to weld, 4yo son can turn a wrench well enough to take anything apart (even the stuff i didn't want apart), 2yo daughter just plain digs the hell out of the motorcycles.

i grew up with my grandpa and uncles showing me what they were doing and letting me 'help'... now i'm doing the same with my kiddos. projects may take three times as long to finish, but it's worth every moment. i'd have it no other way.

plus i get free grunt work: son loves cleaning parts....

My grandaughter on her first freewheelin adventure and her trying to get that elusive duck. She lives a few hundred miles from me, but I will get her involved in the car craze. Told my daughter she will be a gearhead and a small tech head. 271.jpeg 304.jpeg

Here's Junior trying to hotwire the Chevy the day I brought it home. He was only 2 then. He's 6 now and definitely has it. We build model cars together, the house is littered with Hot Wheels, and we go to car shows and talk about how to tell a 39 from a 40.

Our Son turned 39 last week and our Daughter will be 37. Great memories when they were growing up.
They are still fun, but now they teach me stuff.
