Technical bellhousing I.D.?

hey guys, just wondering if anybody on here might know what this bellhousing is off of, i found it digging around in old **** from my grandfather. Its really small off a 4 cylinder of some sort I'm guessing, i first thought maybe its for an import but we didn't own any until the 90s and this is definitely older. No numbers that i see on it either.
maybe its off a willys jeep?

yeah, it looks like an early Jeep

 

thanks, that'd make sense i can't think of anything else we had that would use one that small.
