Holy crap, ya'll really did roll back your clocks for daylight savings if you picked that up on the stand.....

  2. A friend of mine runs them. It's still a straight 6, dual strombergs and split exhaust.
    I dig it

Except that coat was beige before she leaned on the pipe.

  4. Hey Root, no belly burners on this one but thought you might like to see it anyway.

I dug them , small kids want to touch them though.

That was my 1st thought, not for me, 6 yo grandson, but he's never touch my Harley pipes so maybe I'm overly concerned.

  17. At the ny auto show in 1963 Ed Roth was selling an olds powered 56 ford truck that had belly burners on it. He wanted a $1000. I had$ 800 I gave him a deposit of $100 and came back the next day with my dad he thought it was a good deal till he saw the pipes. He would not lend me the $200 Ed would not return the deposit.

I really like them and I came close to putting them on my RPU project, but I couldn't find a source for stainless bends with a small enough bend radius for my liking. The ones I found would fill up the entire front part of the A bed..

Slip some fishtails on the end upside down . That would give the correct police something to whine about. ;)

  25. Not sure if @Stogy was asking about the baby.
I took his question as whether that belly pipe (or stack in the first photo) was actually connected to the exhaust.....

Sanchos correct exhaust not kiddos...;)...I'm going out on a limb here and saying the Caddy engine has 3 ports going to 3 pipes with a 4th unless there are side collectors all connecting to the stack . Of all the stacks that to me is one of the better looking ones.

So, from the looks of it, 1-3/4” tubing may have been pretty common. I was planning on 2”. Hopefully, it won’t look too cartoonish.

  28. @Stogy After looking again, it appears that you can just see pipes coming off the side exhaust. Also these are showing in the shadow. They look way too heavy to just be mounts....

  29. They also look like they are capped. I guess the exhaust runs through them, diverted underneath (maybe a muffler?) to the stack/belly pipe.
Otherwise pull the plugs and run it open right out the sides.
