I recently completed one more project on my list of things to finish on my belly tank. I thought some of you might be interested to see what I was doing so here it is. To see the whole build up to this point, go to; http://www.mccainautomotive.com

That thing is pretty awesome!!!! Doe the glass not close of completely? Will that cause any issues with turbulence inside the cockpit.

The canopy bubble was not designed to fit the headrest exactly. This will add ventilation. and will hopefully not cause any problems at speed. As for un-choping the `32, When my brother bought it it had been chopped too much. It was only raised enough to make it drivable, but that brought everything back to the proper proportions for what he was trying to achieve. The windshield and back glass looked like a mail slot, and at six feet tall, there wasn`t enough headroom.

Cool, I actually like that it does not fit perfectly because it looks like something that a guy would have picked from a surplus yard and fitted to his already runny lakester to see if he could get a few more MPH out of it. I guess I am trying to say that it's pretty authentic looking for perhaps circa 1957.

Hyper-cool !!! Doesn't look like that trunk under the panel will hold much, though. I certainly hope you don't expect to fit a spare tire in there !
