whats a decent price you would pay? most the cost would be the upfront amount to build the mold, once you have a good mold the parts wouldnt be to bad, especialy if I did a batch of them for a group buy, would it just be a tank shape or would you want a modified tank with the drivers hole and bump for the engine?

  4. By the time you add up gl*** and resin costs Elmo Rodge's tanks don't seem so bad. I think I have a couple hundred bucks in materials just in the nosecone of my lakester and it is only 2 feet long.

I don't think it's too much. I was getting prices around 2000-2100.. The one I'm buying Is 1200. And I'm perfectly fine with that. Not building a historical show piece. Building one to have fun with...

This is a gl*** one, we had the tubes rolled, tacked in some temporary braces, now we will curve some tube for the rest of the skeleton. It kinda looks like a rowboat doesn't it ?

Fibergl***, do it like Roth did. Get some blocks of styrofoam and some plaster. shave it down to what you want it to look like, then start laying mat on top of that. Then youll have to split it down the middle when done and build your frame inside.

Ben has built a few cars since the advent of this thread, along with a few other major accomplishments, He has a two OG belly tanks hanging from the ceiling of his shop now. That is the perfect framing to his new Engine building shop known as "Bluefeild Engine Service"
