Technical Belly tank value

Hoping somebody can tell me if these would work and what they might be worth. Thanks in advance.

Do you know the tank diameter?

To make a race car, it needs to be big enough to fit (most of) a driver & an engine in it.

Those look fairly modern- maybe from an A-6, EA-6B, or F/A-18 stationed at Whidbey Island, WA?

To me those don’t have the correct shape to have the cl***ic Bally tank look. Kool but not my cup of tea.

What are they made of? If they're aluminum, that's probably a good deal of value just in the weight. I think they'd need to be cut down in length but the width looks pretty good for a race car (a lot of them are too narrow) and I feel like that shape could be made to work. Can't say I know what kind of value to put on them though. Seems like empty shells like that never bring a whole lot, can't see paying more than a grand for the pair but I'm no expert so I could be vastly off.

 

Looks like the same size as the Danny Boy Lakester. I would go 500-700 each.
