bench or buckets?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by spoole, Aug 31, 2011.

  1. Since I'm going for a 50's era vibe, I bought a bench seat for my car for the redo, but I like driving around in buckets. This will be a hard decision for me when that time comes. I currently have tweed-covered Honda bucket seats with head rests in my car... haha.

Bench bottom with Bucket backs is a nice look and with the newer springs and high density foam it gives you that new car ride. Personally I like the original look with the new guts.

I was wondering this earlier while driving home in my '55 as i threw my arm along my bench.... you couldn't do that with buckets! So I'ma go with a bench! More comfy to nap on too! ;D

For your car, a bench which is what the original question was for.

The question in general depends entirely on the car as mentioned already. I have two 1955 Oldsmobiles 1st one's a mild custom with a bench. 2nd is pure hot rod with floor shift and rolls bars and buckets.

Sometimes, it's different strokes for the same folks......
