Event Coverage Benefit - Dart Run - All Day Live Music Brenham April 2nd

A buddy of mine (Mark Pollard of Route 4 Band http://www.route4band.com/) was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer in his kidney and the week before his 50th birthday had his kidney and hopefully the cancer removed. He is self employed and is under insured so we are having a benefit for him at Silver Wings Ballroom in Brenham, TX. on APRIL 2nd. http://www.silverwingsballroom.com/

There will be bands playing from 11:00 am until Midnight (bands to be announced) but it looks like Keith York of Blow Torch Repair, as well as Crossroads Band, Rusted Iron, Route 4 Band and many more will show up to thrill fans from all over. There's a BarBQue Cookoff, Roller Skating for the kids, food, drinks, Washer tourney, Horse shoe tourney, Live Auction, Silent Auction, cake walk, ending in a Dance until midnight but best of all there is a DART RUN!

The DART RUN is open to Cars 1979 or older plus motorcycles of any year. Registration is 9-10am, 1st bike/car out at 10:00am. I'm not sure how far it will be, but the stops are M&M lounge, Chappell Chills, Jozwiak Tx (JJ's) in Chappell hill, then to K&M, Roberts, last stop Lil Mikes, Dart Throw to determine the winner, will be at 5:00pm at Silver Wings. You can come back whenever you want to enjoy the bands, that is your choice. Lil Mikes opens at 3p so you cannot go there before 3p. Normally it is a 2 beer stop at each place. Best of all, the prize is $$$ CASH $$$ with 1/2 the money collected offered as prize money. There will be a small entry fee of something like $25 per car / bike. It will be a fantastic Spring day to cruise the rolling hills around Brenham and Chappell Hill, enjoy some great music, visit some great local hang outs, Check out cool cars and bikes, help a great guy battle cancer and maybe win a chunk of CA$H!

I understand the date conflict. Folks can still donate if they are so inclined. Bands confirmed are Blowtorch Repair, Crossroads, Early Wine, Catch and Release, Zentexas, Rusted Iron, FM2865 and Route 4 Band! 11:00 am to Midnight. Dart Run should have tons of entries and it's a 50/50 with half the cash going to the winner.
