I'm working on a vintage dirt modified. It has centre steering with a traditional straight steel pitman arm and the drag link running up to the left front spindle. Over the years they've changed the headers and as a result they spaced the drag link off the pitman arm by 1". Would it be better to bend the arm and get rid of the spacer? I'm also wondering about bends in the drag link? Im seeing more and more cars with a hockey stick like bend in them for tire clearance. Good or bad? Thanks for any tips and advice.
I think it would be better bent than having a spacer but remember when you bend it ,,,,,it will also shorten the arm some....
