I've been wondering why that took so long to be posted.

I don't do searches for "naked 32's" until my wife is away from the house and she has been working from home a lot lately. Kinda harshen my mellow.

I'm going with Jimmy Pflueger's '32 Phaeton, simple in it's looks but it packed a punch with a SCoT blown Merc. Jimmy was a hot rodder for decades and he p***ed at the age of 91 in 2017.

Looks like we’ve given up on customs and trying to sway @Moriarity with traditional rods and resto rods now………….:(

The only issue with '32 Ford body dimensions are that the roofs are too high. There are many reasons why they're considered the ultimate Hot Rod make and year. The Little Coffin is a terrible mistake, it has no practicability, the proportions are all wrong and such a mess shouldn't be included on a Hot Rod site. That's my opinion and I'm sure it's shared by the majority of HAMB members.

Man, apollogies to my HAMB brothers for my "tude", maybe you'll say blame it on the eggnog, nah, can't be in the same room with the stuff, it just rolled off my tongue and spilled onto the keypad before I could (as Archie Bunker would say) "stymie it Edith".

No mistake when an iconic Custom, Hot Rod, Show car, has been immortalized into an actual model kit.

"One of the coolest race/show cars of the early 1960s was the “Orange Crate” 1932 Ford sedan, built by a couple of talented guys up in Oregon. Starting life as a race car and then morphing into a nationally known, award winning show machine, the car has survived the years in what appears to be flawless condition and it is currently for sale on RacingJunk.com for the price of $150,000. This car was on the cover of Hot Rod in 1962, twice won the America’s Most Beautiful Compe***ion Car award at the Oakland Roadster Show, and raced at the Winternationals during the same time period."

"Tex Smith grabbed this shot at the Seattle Roadster show in the winter of 1963. The mammoth trophy came from the Oakland show, and was reportedly displayed at Bob Tindle’s dealership when the car wasn’t on tour. Bob’s brother, Terry, claims to still have it."
