If my ship ever comes in I would be happy to put my name on the title Mark. :) HRP

My old 5 window had a similar look but not near as nice, Mark does some beautiful builds.

I think I answered and got no response. If not then I'm going to blame it on old age!

While we are on the subject of the Lil Coffin, the roof above the windscreen looks different on the new Lil Coffin, was this a clone or a restoration of the original? It just doesn’t look quite right to me. IMG_4011.jpeg IMG_4010.jpeg

As much as I love a Kustom especially a 32 as the coffin and one of my favorite models.
    I look at one of my favorites like Ben’s 3w coupe a perfect 32 and wouldn’t change a thing like 3w Larry’s .
Get in and drive the heck out of it ! IMG_8236.jpeg

    @ALLDONE ,
    More likely just Joking !
Not a Good or wise offer /Bet . The dumbness things can happen .
The 32 5 looks the part in engine bay,
But I can tell Off Idle or on Converter
Its going to just Blow tires off 1st to 2nd by then Very crossed up any Torque
    & power above 400 ,
On mine when setting on Small tire's
& tight converter , driving pretty regularly, 4 bars set one way,
Then when I switch to the 315's shock adjustment , Bar change , 4,800 converter , different timing , etc., front end up,
    Fully extended .
Both set up's are for street passes .

    @ALLDONE ,
On paper / logic should .
    Did @ct1932ford Challenge you ?
    His F-H maybe 80 hp .
I think you come from Boating, Im sure you seen race lost for the
    Dumbest things,
Was @ street race around 2k bet
Took off car rolled tire off rim , picked up rock ,hole in tire , during burnout.
Seen some so hyped up , for get to put in gear , or did not put in Low / first.
Forget to turn on fuel pump , drain fuel bowls , engine sneeze, line lock,
    Broken U joint , break Axle .
Just dum bet unless Neither vehicle means nothing to neither racer.

No , I challenged no one to race. Mine is a traditional build and I don't abuse my cars. My wife's Mazda would blow the socks off of most hot rods today. I'm 78 not 18 . I build nice driving traditional 32 Fords. End of story.

Maybe not $350K worth, but it has major historic significance:

    -It won AMBR in 1978.
-It re-popularized HOT hot rods when vans, kit cars & VWs were all the rage.
-Street Rod of the Year, 1979.
-It was one of the historically significant magazine cover cars invited to Pebble Beach in 2019.
-Its a time capsule- hasn't changed since 1978.:cool::cool:

I was just being a smart ass....but kinda butt hurt cause I wanted to buy his car, when I didn't get a response I figured it was sold... he said..."Well , I don't want to blow my own horn, but I will. I'd put my recently completed coupe up against anything I've seen here! " I took that as a race.... sure is a nice built car... and priced way low... guess because of the times.... I see cars like his in the 100k range... there's a 5 window up in utah that I wanted to go look at but bought the Red nose reindeer coupe instead...now I need a 3 window

I was a "participant" during the tweed and billet era, saw an assload of cars that would have qualified for a "top 75" if such a thing had existed back then.
Nowadays I probably would walk past them to see a type of car that is much more HAMB kosher, not because of any traditional bent, more of a "it speaks to me" kind of thing.
HAMB'r Bob from Portland hasn't posted here for some time but he had the most bitch'n deuce 5W (still looking for photo), there was a time when people might have given it the "poo poo".

To me there is only afew I think are worth more then 80k & less then 100k
Those would be One's with Significant History, I guess my thinking is because
Just one of my family members has had
    A 32 since he was 16 , close to 50 ,
has 8 I believe now , the most that he paid for one , its a 5w
Just in last 6 years was 40k , he only paid that much , Because of the History on East
Hot Rodded 51 , then raced
    58-68 , & a unique Smoky engine when raced ,
Still trying to get that particular motor
    Back

The one I just picked up,I gonna say has been a hot rod since the 50's... and originaly built in 1931... there's plenty of history in this car... I just have to find it...I know it has been all over the west coast.... some one has to know something about it...

Can we get back to topic please? To remind everyone of the task at hand, we are looking for a 32 Ford that might replace the Lil Coffin in @Moriarity 's mind as the best 32 ever built.
AMBR cars sell for big money, it is part of the draw for building a contestant and winning. I would go so far to say that winning vehicles are more art than car in most cases and as art, they can garner big paydays at auction. $350k? Not from me, but I would stop and stare!
    Nice car @Fogger!

I really like this car having spent an entire weekend staring at it and talking with the owner. It deserved a Good Guys award but they had to honor the SoCal crowd passing through from Deuce Days. The door panels and headliner even grew on me over the weekend. Defiantly a deserving choice for honorable mention.

Really liking the wide 5's and the evil chop. I like shiny cars personally but this isn't about me, it's about convincing Mark that there's more to the game than the coffin. He owns a lot of shiny cars. My gut says he is not going to be "swayed by the suede".
I like your content but don't encourage him.
Let's stick to the script gents (and others)o_O
