I'd vote for the 600 Edelbrock as well. The CFMs fit with the 350 and the Edelbrock will give you reliable performance. They are super easy to rebuild if you ever need to.

I have always run holleys , but they always seemed to run ruch and could keep a power valve in them , Tried a electric choke Edlebrock a couple years ago and it seem to run better , smoother , and gets better gas mileage straight out of the box,,,,

  3. I did the same thing in high school. Q-Jets are nice when set up right.

I've used the Summit Quadrajets several times and they were great, about $300. Holley will give better performance but will use quite a bit more fuel. I tried all three on a mild 350 once, 600 AFB, 600 Holley, and 750 Quadrajet. The Quadrajet was the best MPG, the Holley was the best performance (but the mileage went from 16 to 10) and the AFB was about in the middle.

I like Holleys so much I put two of 'em on my car! Seriously, any carb you buy new (e-brock or Holley) will likely do just fine. I prefer Holleys, and have never been let down by one yet. I also hate leaky carbs, and contrary to what some think, Holleys don't leak.
