Looking at my original list (post #6), there's nothing I'd kill, although my affair with '36 Fords has cooled somewhat. Rather than make a new list with a bunch of retreads, I prefer to think in a "Hall of Fame" mode, and name another bunch of favorites: - '29 A Roadster, as a full-fendered hot rod - '38(?) Alfa Romeo 2900B, almost any body style - '40 Merc 2-door sedan - '41 Buick Special sedanette - '48 Olds 98 2-door fastback - '53 Stude hardtop - '68 Dodge Charger

I love a ton of cars for their design, especially Exner's stuff. But I really think the '57 Fury is way underrated.
I do not wish to re-open the invitation to HAMBers to express their opinions regarding favorite auto designs, but it is certainly not my place to stop you . . . I just find it interesting that among early HAMBers (first 5 or 6,000 members) represented here, these are the unscientific results: Approx. 65 total opinions . . . only 20 listed the '32 Ford . . . and only 14 listed the '33/34 Ford. There seem to be nearly as many votes for the '53 Stude as the early '30s Fords! Goes to show that the early HAMB was mostly pure car folks with a deep, broad appreciation for the auto world, hotrods and customs being simply a part of that. Can we say the same thing about the current make-up of the HAMB? Beyond me to say . . . Just some musings on a slow day in the sunny South.
