Have replaced hundreds on stationary fire pumps in the last 30 yrs. Deka outlasts anything else we've tried. So well, I use them in my cars, truck, lawn mower, banger tudor and all four batteries in my Ranger b*** boat. AND they are no more expensive than your typical Autozone, quickie corner parts house types.
best one i ever had was a j.c. penney battery. they had a lifetime guarantee and was probably why penney got out of automotive. mine lasted 7 years.
Hard to improve on Penney's and Sears for tires and shocks, batteries, brakes etc. I don't know how they did it, but it seemed like you could show up whenever and they'd get you in there and they'd be done in an hour or so. Now when calling somebody up it's "We can get you in on the 20th at 4 o'clock".
