I'm guessing it would be tough to run the stock tank with a non stock dash, right?

Hey Tom, Speed has a dash at his house out of some sort of 50s era Olds we dragged back one year. It is missing most bits and pieces now but it might be a start. It was pretty solid from memory. D

Hard to beat a 36 Ford dash in a Model A. Plus they're an easy fit. Its finding a useable center waterfall that's the hard part. I've got another one that will probably find its way into my 30 roadster.

Sorry don't have a better picture. 34 Chevy Master dash. Glove box door goes on the right, made a aluminum inset for the left to hold a set of old SW gauges. Ignition in the centre with 3 trim strips out of Stainless above it and toppes with 3 old indicator lights for hi beam and turn indicators (maybe Lucas MC items). Have to use a little imagination to see it all.

Dash is a easy fit in a A, just needs a extension at the top to close the gap between dash and windshield. That will give me a place for defrost vent outlets, a couple of home punched louvers.

At the time of the picture, the original dash still hadn't been trimmed, gone now.

    I think it looks good.

    Finally finished:

I love the stock dash in mine, with S/Warner guages, but I'd swap it for the 55 Olds one in a heartbeat.

This is the one we are working on. We have the gauges just trying to rebuild them now. It is out of a Dodge. We also are planning to adapt the steering wheel out of the Dodge. The guitar neck is the shifter.

40 ford dash looks so RIGHT in a little coupe. Those have to be my favorite.

Not mine, but the absolute COOLEST dash I've ever seen in a car is the dash in the BASS COUPE. I don't have pics, but it's nuts. I think it's a 40 ford dash, modified, with a studebaker speedo. Way cool.

  27. Back 15 years ago about all you ever saw typically was the '32 style dash with the oval gauge cluster (mainly because it's easy and there are aftermarket fiberglass dashes that just bolt in).

Now you see all these wild dash swaps from later model cars. I dig it.

But the Coolest dash stuffed into a Model A would have to be Zenors Poncho dash in Ziggy Stardust !!!!!!!!!!!
