Cool deal Paul! Looking forward to my ride in it someday!

  2. You know we were just talking about a car like this. Story goes---I was about 6 years old and an old fellar in Herington named Col. Sharp had the exact same looking car. Now I used to stop in his shop while I was riding my bike as his shop was full of gadgets and contraptions. So on this special day he asks me if I want to go for a ride around the block. So off we go. When we rounded the corner of the block the first person we see is my MOM and she was really pissed. Hell I think she beat us back to the shop and she let the ol Col Sharp have it. Something about her 6 year old boy being in a Wheelie Popping Car with a crazy old man driving !!! I just wonder if it's the same car ?? >>>>.

Funny you should ask. One of the reasons I sold it the first time was after a fun evening of rip roaring around my town (population 400) and raising hell while hauling my neighbors (who happened to include the mayor and 2 city council members (including me) I had just put the car away in the garage as it had gotten dark. Soon after, a knock at my front door turned out to be a deputy sheriff who had driven 20 miles to see me after a complaint was called in by our town drunk (oddly no relation to me). He seem confused because according to the complaintant, I was "driving around town on 2 wheels and generally demonstrating a poor example for the children of our town." :D
The deputy said he knew that wasn't possible but that was the complaint nonetheless. We invited him in and Mrs. PF served him some ice tea and we had a good visit while he wrote up his report. When he left he told me that reckless driving was not allowed and if I got caught he would have to write me a ticket. He never did actually see the car himself! :p

glad to see you got your old pal back, Paul. Now if GL could figure out a way to make his yellow car as cool as yours...nah, he should just sell it to me for $6000.

I am anxious to see you in action. Looks like you are rearing(rising up or in upright position)/raring(eager or enthusiastic) to go. I suppose it could be both, especially if she is cute!

can you have people in the back seat and NOT pop a wheelie, or does the weight alone bring the wheels up?

Back in the early days (Very early 60s) Model As ran X/Stock so they must have built the 1st X/FX altered wheel base super stocker, Chrysler must have snuck in and stole their "Skunk Works" engineering for the 426 AFX HEMI Dodges and Plymouths!! Those sneaky Bastards!!! LOL MOPAR had nothing on Henery!!! HEE HEE HEE

The Dodge tow truck is enjoying retirement right now. Still runs good but needs new tires and I don't like the price of them. [IMG]

My excellent adventure to Wichita also included the purchase of a 454 big block engine and a 348 Chevy block and intake. A good day indeed. [IMG]

you can have people in the back without the front wheels lifting up. It's not that unstable. It takes quick forward motion by popping the clutch to make it airborne.

Very cool to be able to get a car you sold back when! I for one have sold a couple in the last few years I would love to buy back. Was a big mistake but that life and I will try hard not to make any more in my haste to sell. You so lucky and I know you will enjoy it more than the first time you had it.
