As you know, Bandimere drag strip, after 65 years of racing, closed for good in October. My son, who is now 39 years old, has been drag racing there since high school. We enjoyed many great hours working on cars together in our garage. They held a "Last Blast" event on 10/22 and for the first time
ever, we got a chance to race side by side. Great moment for both of us and will be a lifelong memory.
Here we are at the starting line.

Cool, but you should change your title to Best Car Day Ever. The day I got married 50 years ago and the days my kids and grandkids were born outshine any of my car days, good as they were.

I have been to more than my fair share of weddings (no, not all mine) and I would not count any of them as "best day ever". I love my wife and family but weddings themselves suck!

My wife's dad married us, the Maid of Honor made three wedding cakes, my brother was Best Man, our grandparents stood up and blessed us and, because it was on Long Island Sound, a passing Coast Guard cutter blew all of its whistles. Yep, the best.
