I really like the 61 and 62 Impala sport sedan 4 dr hardtops. I also really like the 63 and 64 merc monterey 4dr hardtop.
partial to my 53 merc. my first car and had it 25 years now. pics are headed back to metro atlanta, ga from the billetproof, fl show.
Two pages and no mention of the stepdown Hudsons??? I'm crushed... But I dig all the GM flat-tops too.
This is the killer right here,I love 4 door cars and sometimes I hear **** for it.This particular one is just breathtaking I also really like em stock too. The 4 door Hudsons are a must for this thread.
This is my old 61 Lincoln. Never was a fan of the four doors except the Lincolns. I have to admit though I have seen quite a few four doors here on the HAMB that I would take. I guess your likes and dislikes can change up some as you get older =)
Well the black Merc sold on ebay for I think 36k, which I couldn't believe. The build was only a few months old if I remember right. I will try to find another picture.
4dr wagons are the only more-door I'd ever own. Even then I'd buy a 2dr wgn before I ever bought another parts car!
That's they key, right there. Sometimes in those cases the four-door even looks better. Both '49-'51 Fords and '49-'52 Chevys come to mind as sedans that look better with four doors (obviously, though, this doesn't account for the coupes). The '60 and '61 Falcons look better as a four-door also. -Dave
