It is deceiving though. I sprayed a metal panel with grey primer under it and it’s a different color.
I painted some parts with a grey primer ( I think they call it a “ground coat”) and the colour loss some of its intensity. Re-sprayed after changingto black and the colour was much more intense. You may want to investigate this...
That late seventies early eighties Ford colour is great. My all time favourite however is a Jaguar “Regency Red”. Search for a pic... more burgundy than maroon so less brownish.
