Hot Rods best oil for early OHV V8s

I use Pennzoil 30W 'cause it matches my color scheme. Any good modern detergent oils @ proper rating for local temperature is good as any I reckon. Most important spec is change it every 3,000mi.

 

I think that's a big part of it. Performance engines with radical camshaft and heavy valve spring pressures. Old school stock V8 with standard issue valve springs, fuggedabou***, at least after cam break-in.
