I have a few, all Craftsman, no probs so far and I use it pretty regularly. 4.5 and a 4, but the 4 I use for masonry and a stone wheel for hitting the welds (sometimes) first before the flap disc. Keep a flap disc on the 4.5 and only remove that for stripping discs the rare occ***ion I use em. Altho it doesnt take much time to switch wheels sometimes its easier if you have the opportunity to have a few, to do that and keep diff wheels on em.

I have a Wla-mart brand Black and Decker that works great and I have been beating the **** out of it for the past 6 yrs. I originally bought it for grinding out motar joints on the job but it found its way in the garage. I think it is all on how you use the things as well. My friend down the road bought a Black and Decker and ruined it within a week. He than gave it to me for parts and went out and bought a crafts men and ruined it within a month he now has a DeWalt.

But the black and Decker that he gave me I took apart and noticed it was very loose in the bearing area. So the last time I went over to his shop he was grinding and forcefully pushing on the grinder to remove some weld or something, I don't really remember but anyway I grab one of his other junk grinders and noticed it was loose the same way that the B&D was.
