Just wondering were is the best place to buy bi-ply's my size is 760-15 and what is the tradtional size white wall? 2-1/2 or 3 in....Thanks
I checked coker they have pretty good deal's im just confused which size whitewall to get...I think the size on my car now is 3 inch..is that a tradtional size or to big?
1st question: What kind of car do you have? '50's style hot rod or late '60's style show car/custom? I don't think the difference between 2.5 or 3 inches will matter much. You run into "What look am I really shooting for?" questions when you start comparing wide whites (2.5 and 3 inches) with 1 inch whitewalls. Just my $.02 JH
I agree with Harrison. What era are you trying to do? Peraonally, I went for the 2 1/3 inch on the 62 'cause that is the size available then. In the early 60s, tire manufactures started producing the narrow white wall, then the pattern became marrow through the early 70s ant into the early 80s. Mine are the Coker's. Jim
Mooneyes started to wide whites but they are kind of pricy i think. There in their 2004 catalog. Buy some thin white walls and if you dont like the look of them grind them out to wide whites? Nate
Doesn't Walmart carry them? They're supposed to have everything you could possibly ever want, for less!
Well i have a 55 Packard clipper custom constellation 2dr...I want to have that period correct 50's look to it. Right now the tires on there have 3 inch white walls, And are from sears boy they are old... .I just wanted to make it look like it should have in the 50's with some lite kustomizing to it..Thanks "G"
