i need some motorcicle tires for the front of the "FnA" to mount on the spindle mount 18s. where is the best place to research sizes and tread patterns and then buy said tires??? they gotta have the right "look" and i'm not sure on the exact size yet. time to do that research cause i need to buy them SOON!!! thanks... Mike
here's a couple places i have always had good luck with for cycle parts: http://www.j-pcycles.com/ http://www.denniskirk.com/
Avon Speedmasters would definatly have the look, and are rated up to 113mph, they used to make them in 18" but you may have to go with the Avon SM MarkII for the 4x18" size. -Jesse
A guy I know had motorcycle tires on his Austin American. He switched to side car tires, they look more like a car bais ply.
JP Cycles do have a good selection and good price. I have a set of import cheapie 16x5.10 that have a very retro look to em.
you may want to stop by a local harley-davidson oriented shop and ask to look through a v-twin mfg. catalog.they specialize in reproduction type parts, and offer alot of tires for older restored bikes.the size you need may limit you to certain brands but they offer some neat ol'skool lookin stuff.something to consider...quickrod
