I have a 31 model a r/e and would like to know what would be a better r/e keeping the same wheel/tire to the body?
    I am going to run 6:50 16 on a 40 ford wheel 4.5 width.

  2. The later ones were wider. Can you stand any increase in width? What car is it going in and will it be fendered? What engine/trans are you running?

Thanks for the reply. It will be a fenderless roadster or coupe. Don't want to have too much distance between tire and wheel. It will be a A V/8. Flat head, 39 trans.

Looks nice I was also thinking 35 r/e. Reverse eye spring on rear?
