What,s the best late model rear end to run under a full fendered 30 Model A? Its gonna run a 400 SB with a 4 speed. No big dumb fat rear tires, basicaly a stock bodied coupe.

I'm running a Maverick 8 inch rearend in my pick-up which is full fendered, its a perfect fit. I believe they are 55 inches wide. Don't know if they are exactly late model anymore, since they haven't built Mavericks in 25 years and they aren't too easy to come by around here anymore. Other later rearends people are running are Chevy S-10 and Ford 8.8, the issue with them would be width. If you want to have a rear end narrowed, you can find 1985 and older Ford 9 inch pick-up and Van rearends fairly easily. They are 31 spline with the large axle bearing and 11 inch brakes.
