Technical Best tiedown for car hauler

    Thanks to everyone. I got some real good education, so I don't have to learn some hard lessons on what to avoid.

    The two companies I have had the best luck with are - M&R Products, and AW Direct, not worth losing a life or a car over saving a few bucks, YMMV.

    If you haul the same car on the trailer it's a good idea to make some cleats to get the vehicle in the same position each time. We tied the wheels down with 4 inch wide ratcheting straps over the tires and had blocks that fit under the frame in the front and rear then pulled the frame down so the vehicle didn't bounce on the trailer.

    Your rating will be extreme overkill.

    And use nylon hose sleeving in the correct size. Cut into lengths as needed (2' or so) and slide over the nylon webbing to protect from cuts and abrasions.
    Your webbing will last for for years
