Silva Speed Special ranks first in my book. It is the inspiration for my 29 Sedan.

One of my favorites was Glen's 39 or 40 Merc 4dr sedan that he turned into a chopped Carson topped 2 dr tub. That goes back a while but it's still a favorite. He turned what I consider a rather ugly car into a really cool 40s style custom. The Buick is pretty nice too.:D:D

Don't recall seeing any part of those builds here. Larry's car more than made up for it though. It's pretty crazy looking at this thread. A lot of stuff I had forgotten about.

    I'll add:
    Nosurf's coupe
    hiboy32's coupe
    Tuck's 34 coupe

And though it was not a built here on the HAMB, El Jefe's roadster since he cleaned it up, made it run, and took it to several events for people to see a real deal untouched hot rod.

  14. Looks like Dale Gribble without his sungl***es.

I am partial to Jim Sibley builds

Ya wanna know who built a *****IN traditional Hot Rod?

    Urkillinmesmalls.

That car is strictly traditional...and very nice.
I once called him **** as an insult. Now I know he is just O.C.D. and it paid off in spades with that little roadster. It's Pure.

Aussie Steves 32 3 window is freakin dumb nice, too. it has so many subtle little tricks....

Okay... I could be at this all day! There are tons of worthy projects worth noting. They are all HAMBers and they are all being covered here during the process in some way shape or form. There are a few that NEED to be covered. (Tuck!!!!) There are tons more I can think of, like Jeff Norwell's... well... everything he builds, of Course Ryan's coupe rules, 3wLarry's coupe was inspirational, everything put out by Hot Rod Ch***is and Cycle is top notch work, of COURSE everything that Plowboy ever put out of his shop, SUHR is a madman and a fabricator from hell, everything loudpedal touches turns to gold, Evel with LiveWire, Sloppyseconds blue coupe, everything Paul has his hands in rules, on and on and on..... just keeps going on forever!

I think there are a lot of people that dont post build pics because they want to "debut" a car.
My 48 Buick was never featured in any magazine, Rick shot it for R and C and they never published them....probably because all of the exposure here.

I can see this if you are building your car to compete for awards at car show but that really seems at odds with what this board is about and there are quite a few cars that the build has been followed on this board that have been featured in magazines.

Read the first post! This is not a thread for posting pictures of traditional cars it is to highlight and provide links to builds that have or are taking place on the HAMB and are being shared with the other members through build posts.
