I need to get my 62 Belvedere from Groton, CT to San Antonio or anywhere in TX really. The motor is going to be shipped separately so it will be a fairly light car. Whats the best way to go about this?

The best way? Take a few days of vacation, get ahold of a truck and trailer if you don't have your own, and make a road trip.
Road trip. Get a trailer, a reasonably willing accomplice and make tracks. I have done this numerous times over the years and can't recall any bad stuff. It seems like a chore until you get on the road and then it's something you wouldn't trade. I could tell stories for hours on being trapped in the White Mountains in a May blizzard, swilling cherry wine in Nebraska? or learning the hard way that axles don't always stay put in a Dodge if you take the center section out. Drank beer on a park bench in Aspen nearly 40 years ago before it was Cool and learned that cars last forever in the southwwest desert. My vote is road trip.
