hey guys just a quick question. When we chopped my 54, we saved the drip rails to give it a stock look. The only thing is that the rails don't extend all the way to the beltline anymore. It's about 3 inches too short. My question is, can I make a new extension or would it be easier to get them off a donor car? I have no idea, so that's why i'm turning to the HAMB Knowledge for help. Well thanks in advance guys!

Probably better to get a chunk off a donor GM car from that era. making the join invisible is critical because that's an area that can make or break a great chop and for that reason it's the first place people look.

Hey Poorboy, do you have any new photos?
I'm curious to see how your car is looking these days.

I made some drip rails for my truck using a hammerform and 20 gauge sheet metal. I have some photos here... Drip rail photos
